Import an existing CAD file in one of the many supported file formats, including AutoCAD® DWG/DXF, or start from scratch. With intuitive design tools The Drafting Assistance’s snaps and alignment aids, 7,000 pre-drawn symbols, customizable keyboard shortcuts, automated user tips and online help, even beginners can quickly create precision designs.

Create Architectural Plans with Ease

Use the drafting assistant to quickly layout a floor plan, or choose from one of the 500 included pre-drawn plans. Speed architectural design with new parametric doors and windows that when placed into new self-healing walls, TurboCAD will automatically create an opening in the wall.

Share Designs

Print design to your specifications with new options for better control of how the printed document will look. Just as easily, export your precision designs and technical drawings from TurboCAD to other CAD formats, or choose a popular desktop publishing formats to create brochures or other marketing materials.

TurboCAD Mac offers a large selection of 2D tools, so that no matter the situation you’ve got access to the right tool for the job. Included you’ll find line, arc and curve tools, like the new fair curve tool. Plus access circle, ellipse, polygon, and spline tools, including the new freehand spline and new fair spline tools. You’ll also find power text and dimensioning tools, fillet and chamfer tools, as well as 2D modifier and transformation tools.

Drafting Assistant & Snaps

The Drafting Assistant thinks like a drafter. It automatically knows where construction lines are typically wanted and displays them temporarily when necessary. Combine with snaps to quickly locate x, y coordinates, tangents and perpendiculars, and you’ll be able to quickly layout floorplans, diagrams and more.

Over 7,000 2D symbols and parts

Choose from thousands of parts and symbols to effortlessly add to your design including electrical, mechanical, bathroom, kitchen, construction, LAN, CMOS, doors, windows, counters, fasteners, HVAC and more. Use the symbols browser to quickly locate just what you need, enhanced to now display symbol filenames.

Advanced Editing

Select an object and easily change the geometry in the Edit Objects window. All values appear as whole numbers or decimals and can be entered in any units desired.

New Architectural Design Tools

Smart walls - TurboCAD Mac’s self-healing walls automatically join, intersect, and update to speed design. Walls auto-dimension as they are drawn, auto trim wall vertices, and allow for assignment of a hatch pattern and colour.

Parametric Doors & Windows – Choose from 3 door styles (Single, Single Standard, or Double) and 3 window styles (Overlapping Sill, Standard Sill and Tight Sill) to drag-and-drop into a wall, and TurboCAD Mac will automatically create an opening in the wall. In addition, users can offset the door or window a prescribed distance from the end of the wall for precise placement.

Easily import your graphic designs files into TurboCAD and turn them into precision CAD drawings with dimensions. Just as easily, you can export technical drawings from TurboCAD into desktop publishing formats, perfect for use in brochures and all other marketing materials.

You can also use TurboCAD’s powerful batch conversion tool to convert single images or groups of images to other file formats.

Printing & PDF

Use the page layout to view and print your design with up to 4 different angles on a single page. New options Page Layout offer greater control of how the printed document will look. Users can also save designs as single or multi-page PDFs in standard or custom sizes for sending via email.

IMPROVED Printing
New Options in Page Layout to Keep Dimensions Text Size, Keep Text Size and overlay the drawing in the Print Preview window. All enable better user control of how the printed document will look.

NEW Layer Sets
Layers may now be organised into sets, making it easy to visually turn on and off appropriate visual aspects of a model. The number of layer sets is virtually unlimited, layers can be assigned to as many sets as necessary, and sets can be recursively nested.

NEW Circular Fill
The enhanced fill tool automatically creates polygons when needed, so you can add solid fills to circle objects for added flexibility in design.

NEW & IMPROVED Wall Options
TurboCAD Mac’s new and improved self-healing walls are automatically join, intersect, and update to speed design. New enhancements enables auto-dimensioning of walls as they are drawn, auto trimming of wall vertices, and allows for assignment of a hatch pattern and a colour to a wall.

NEW & IMPROVED Door Tool
Save time adding doors to architectural designs. Simply insert one of the three 2D door styles into a wall, and TurboCAD Mac will automatically create an opening in the wall for the door. In addition, users can offset the door a prescribed distance from the end of the wall for more precise placement.

The door tool comes with 3 styles - Single, Single Standard and Double.

NEW & IMPROVED Window Tool
Like the door tool, users can quickly insert one of the three 2D window styles into a wall, and TurboCAD Mac will automatically create an opening in the wall for the window. Plus, for more precise placement, windows can be offset a prescribed distance from the end of the wall on which they are placed.

The window tool includes 3 styles - Overlapping Sill, Standard Sill and Tight Sill.

NEW Block Manager
New palette which enables users to create, edit and manage Blocks. A block preview window is included. Both 2D and 3D Blocks are supported.

NEW Fair Curve Tool

Accurately smooth and tolerance spline curves with this exciting new tool.

NEW Freehand Spline Tool
Get added flexibility with the ability to create a vector spline by freehand drawing, as opposed to using user-defined points.

NEW Invert Zoom for all mouse models
TurboCAD Mac v5 offers the new ability to define whether “Scroll In” or “Scroll Out” on the mouse wheel defines “Zoom In” or “Zoom Out”. Formerly, “Scroll In” could only define the “Zoom In” action, but now users can go to the file preferences and invert the Zoom command on the mouse, making it much easier to navigate in and out of a desired area of the drawing.

NEW TC Symbols now display filename
The filename of your TurboCAD Mac symbols now displays when the cursor is passed over a symbol. This makes it much easier to identify, locate, and insert symbols, especially when they look similar in the preview.
